Skate to play
If you’re interested in playing roller derby, don’t be shy! No experience is necessary; we’re a diverse group with different abilities and backgrounds and one of our favorite things is sharing the world of roller derby to new skaters.
We invite anyone 18+ to come and learn more about our league and to begin the basics of skating! We are currently running an open and rolling recruitment schedule. Our Rookie Experience Program (REP) is a six week program to introduce the basic skating skills used to play the sport of roller derby. The first session of this program includes a FREE information session and on-skates practice. No experience or gear needed; just bring yourself, a mouthguard, a water bottle, and a positive attitude and we will show you the ropes. If you like what you see and wish to continue with the program, we offer rookie training at our Foundations practice every Tuesday 8:30-9:30 at a fee of $5 per session.
Our next open recruitment night and info session is August 25, 2016 at 7:30pm at Great View Roller Rink in Enfield, NH. Check out our Facebook page for updates. Please feel free to email email@example.com at any time with questions or to let us know if you are interested in joining us!
Skate to officiate
Excited to join Twin State Derby as an official? We would love to start your career off as a zebra with us! Officials-in-training begin with us under the REP just like our other derby skaters. Once these officials-in-training pass their minimum skills, our team of officials continue the training of skating skills as well as learning the rules and gameplay of roller derby. For more information about how you can join us as a TSD Official, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We welcome skaters and officials from other leagues who may be traveling through the area to to join us for a practice. Please email email@example.com for more information and requirements.
Not interested in getting bruised? There are many ways you can join our league without having to put wheels on. Our non-skating officials and coaches are very involved with our community and are very important members of our league.
Without volunteers, we would not be able to play roller derby. Volunteers serve many roles within our league including coaches and officials. We also need volunteers to support our home and away bouts by selling tickets & merchandise, taping the track, taking pictures, serving as our announcers, and much more!
One great benefit to being a volunteer (besides being great for helping us!) is that you get to see roller derby up close! For each bout that our volunteers are able to support, they and a guest receive free admission to that bout. For more information on how to volunteer with Twin State Derby, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
